Parkour privacy policy

Effective October 9, 2026

Parkour is a small personal project that shows University of Michigan parking structure occupancy and predicts when lots fill. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by the University of Michigan.

What we collect

When you sign in with Google, we receive and store only:

We also count how many people use Parkour each hour, to see when it is useful. These counts use a code that changes every day and cannot be traced back to you.

If you send feedback, we store it with your name and email so we can follow up; it may be copied into our private issue tracker on GitHub.

We do not receive your Google password, contacts, files or anything else from your Google account. We do not record your location, which lots you look at, or your IP address.

Cookies and on-device storage

Parkour sets one cookie to keep you signed in. Your settings (Gold/Blue choice, favorite lots, arrival time) are stored only in your browser and are never sent to us. There are no ads, analytics or tracking cookies.

How it is used and shared

Your information is used only to run Parkour and to see who uses it. It is never sold or shared with anyone.

Parking data

Lot occupancy comes from the University of Michigan's public parking availability feed. It contains no personal information.

Keeping and deleting your information

Your record is kept while you use Parkour. To have it deleted, email ross.maddox@gmail.com and it will be removed.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date above will change too.
